Jorge was born in Puerto Rico and grew up bilingual speaking both English and Spanish as part of a military family. Growing up primarily in Okinawa, Japan, and Panama, he also lived in various states across the US from New York, to Minnesota, all the way to Oregon.
He earned a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering, during his 10 years of military service and has completed many advanced training and graduate level courses such as Naval Nuclear Power School, Project Management, Electromagnetics, and Entrepreneurial Business Studies. In the Navy, he worked as a reactor operator and electronics technician, and in the Air Force was a computer switching systems specialist. Prior to that, Jorge worked in variety of roles across different industries from customer service, to sales, and engineering. Other than real estate, his favorite place to work was in was in the airline industry where he worked for American Airlines for six years; first as a baggage service representative and finally as a lead ticket agent.
Jorge started in real estate in 2012 on the investment side, flipping houses and buying rental properties. He joined Keller Williams and the PDX Rockstars team in Portland, Oregon, as their Director of Sales in December 2016.
Every day in real estate is different, which provides Jorge with new challenges and opportunities. He loves being in charge of his own success, while also guiding others through the journey of either finding their dream home or selling their property. Outside of real estate, Jorge is a PADI Divemaster, has been salsa dancing for six years, and also enjoys weight lifting, Spartan and Ragner Relay races. He loves spending time with his family and friends and also leisure activities such as reading and wine tasting.
